A growing footprint

Let me poise a question to you… What exactly is it that you’re looking for in a community that you call home?

Take a minute to think about that. There are no right or wrong answers. What are some of the things that came to mind?

Perhaps the ideal place to call home is somewhere that’s safe and secure, someplace where your kids can flourish, play and grow. Or, maybe it’s about being close to an easy commute to work, public transportation or major connecting thoroughfares for quick weekend trips away? But I can almost guarantee that at some point, you were thinking that what you’re looking for is something that’s yours. A block of land to call your own and your very own house to call a home.

Tucked away in Brisbane’s southwest among the trees and open greenspace, the prosperous suburb of Pallara is home to growing communities abound.

Set about 19km from Brisbane’s CBD, Pallara is a short drive away from the likes of well-established suburbs Forest Lake, Calamvale and Sunnybank – where everything you and your family could need is right there. But don’t let that distance fool you though, as you drive down Blunder Road city views will greet you home, and as you turn onto Ritchie Road - well that is when the real magic comes alive.

Filled with new beginnings and fresh starts, a home owner’s haven to celebrate easy living and backyard evenings, Ausbuild’s communities at Pallara are ready and waiting for you.

If you’re after choice, you’ll certainly find what you’re looking for here. And the goodness doesn’t stop there.

What was once a semirural suburb is now a thriving community hub, and future residents of Pallara will benefit from Brisbane City Council’s Lower Oxley Creek Neighbourhood Plan and the 20-year $100 million Oxley Creek Transformation project, which is currently underway.

Here to explain exactly what that means I sat with Brent Fletcher, Planning and Design Manager.

“The Plan will bring about upgraded roads for bikeways and additional public transport stops, a district sport park, another new convenience centre and shops, as well as a growth corridor that restores wildlife habitats, playgrounds and nature reserves.

“Those families that decide to call Pallara home will benefit from living right in the heart of it.”

Let’s break that down a little bit further and delve a little deeper.

Brent is uniquely knowledgeable about the ‘behind the scenes’ decisions that go into choosing where Ausbuild creates their communities and he wanted to share this with you.

“When we’re looking at possible land subdivisions, it’s vital to the growth of the future community and to its future residents that there are those necessities close by. Schools are a big one, as are public transport and main roads to make for an easy commute, medical care, shops and retail facilities, and of course parks and walking tracks.

“Essentially, anything that you or I would want to have nearby to where we live, we ensure that our communities are built the same way.”

What is by far one of our largest community projects, you’ll be spoilt for choice with five communities currently underway, or soon to be created. The good thing about choice is that it gives you variety on block sizes, positioning, and of course, affordability.

You’re destined to find what you’re looking for at Pallara, so why not join the 406 families that already call our Ausbuild communities home.
